Barton Jones

Biography

Barton Jones lives in Walla Walla, Washington with his favorite guitar, a viola and two cellos. He is currently working on a book of fiction, which will have nothing to do with China. The heroic garb, dog, accoutrements and various impedimenta, which appear in his picture, have very little, almost nothing to do with his time in China.

Through very little fault of his own he was mostly educated in Oregon and Washington. He also spent interesting years in Austria, Switzerland and Japan, which did virtually nothing to advance him academically, professionally or financially. In addition to writing, he teaches classical guitar. Evenings he frequently joins his friends on either viola and cello (hobby instruments) to play chamber music. While the results are quite satisfying to the group, others -- less charitable others -- have been heard to mutter things about Beethoven, Mozart, et al being dead.
