Loved it! What a great reminder of that time in history when women like Susan (and like the author) broke through the barriers that kept us from jobs with decent wages. I remember being turned down for some of those jobs, leaving me feeling deflated and knowing the system that excluded half the population wasn't right and had to change. This is the story of a young women who did not recognize herself for the stalwart hero she was. She would have felt uncomfortable with that role, being a young woman whose life choices were mostly a matter of rolling with the flow. But she finds some truths that guide her life, like the extrasensory knowing she seems to have about fire, which makes her the best spotter of flare-ups on her team - of fires, fiery tempers, and fires of love.
