  • Original Sin (The Alexandra Jones Series #2) on June 15, 2012

All I can say is wow! I sat down and said I was going to read a few chapters and here I am finishing the book in one sitting. Samantha Towle has done it again and I feel like she has really found these characters. They are as real and alive as someone you can walk up to on the street. I found myself once again getting so emotionally wrapped up in Alex and Nathan's story that at points I wished I could grab them both and shake some sense into them! How can you not love Nathan but Zeff....I had read in other reviews there was a story twist with him and I still didn't see that one coming! I absolutely can not wait to see how Alex will end up sussing this all out in the end and am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series. But I have to put a caution here this series is like a drug make sure you have plenty of time when you sit down to read it because from start to finish it will have you hooked and nothing else will get done! And please please please Samantha Towle bring Alex, Nathan , and Zeff back soon because I don't know if I can take the wait. :)
  • The Librarian's Daughter The Story of Abi VanHaven on Oct. 25, 2013

Delightful start to what looks to be a great new series. It gives being a librarian a whole new meaning! Filled with myths and magic good and evil and some absolutely fantastic characters this book will definitely leave you wanting to know more. Nothing is what it seems when you are a Librarians daughter but you certainly don't have to be one to pick up this charming read. In my opinion recommended.
  • Band of Blackbirds (Book 2 in the Blackbird Trilogy) on Oct. 25, 2013

Interesting continuance to the Blackbirds series. I would have liked for it to have slowed down some and been more descriptive. There are a lot of new characters and places and with so much action going on it was hard to follow at some points because it moved so quickly. But the story line and different worlds are really creative and I absolutely love the different characters. Especially some of the newest ones introduced in this book, I really hope to learn more about them in the next one. Add to that the surprise at the open ending and it makes for a quick and entertaining read. I look forward to seeing how it will all come together in the last book and in my opinion Band of Blackbirds is worth a read.
  • Gathering of Blackbirds on Oct. 25, 2013

Not a bad start for a new writer. It was a bit repetitive and a little hard to follow at first. I would have liked some more detail in some spots but I really liked the the story idea and the characters could grow to be really great. With such awesomely unique worlds and characters this has the potential to be an amazing series! I look forward to seeing where it goes from here.
