Beneath the Moon and Stars Joint review Jasmines review: This wasn't what I expected at all. Being a angel freak I knew I would like it but I wasn't sure how much. I seriously read this in like a day and a half. I couldn't put it down. It was kinda slow at first but I had a feeling it would speed up and it did. Gabriel was kinda creepy stalker at first. I didn't like all the lies. It was like he was using Taylor but he has some feelings for her too which makes things complicated. Taylor was like that strong heroine. She wasn't letting anyone control her. I'm not too sure about the tattoos. I'm not really a tattoo kinda person but that's kinda a part of her character. Her love for Gabriel was so sweet and adorable. I think he returned some of her feelings but I don't know how strongly. Sam is so girly. I love how it takes her hours to get ready because I am the same way ;). Surprisingly enough I liked Chris. Him and Sam were adorable. There was so much romance in this. I really like how it wasn't just one couple. The ending had quite the buildup. I don't think it was as exciting as it could have been. It explained everything perfectly but it wasn't very exciting. Overall I really loved this a lot and I'm looking forward to reading the sequel. 5/5 stars Marissas review: I've read a lot of angel books but this one was so incredibly different it hardly fits in the same genre. In this book angels and demons have nothing to do with religion or God they were actually created 150 years ago and I really liked that it was different and new and I loved learning about it. And I was surprised that I sided with the demons in this. I loved the characters and how there was multiple points of view so we got to know all of them. Taylor was really strong and snarky and I loved how she stood up for herself no matter what. I was a little suspicious of Gabriel at first but he proved himself by the end and him and Taylor are really cute together. I also loved how Sam and Chris were cute too it was like double romance and I think Sam is probably my favorite character. I can't wait to see what's next for all of them and I already bought the next book. I'm not sure what I was expecting from this book but it certainly blew me away. 5/5 stars

Beneath the Moon adn Stars joint review Jasmine's Review This book was a perfect change for me. I haven't read a fantasy in forever. This started off exciting then around the middle it got kinda slow and then it picked back up around the end. I fell in love with the characters. Darci's just an ordinary human who gets sucked up into some other world and has no idea whats going on. Taslessian was cute in the beginning but around the middle he kinda got annoying. Lief I absolutely hated at first but by the end I adored him. He somewhat reminded me of the blond elf from lord of the rings :). Maledorian was hilarious and so was Defyance. Defyance's crush on Maledorian was super cute. I absolutely adored all the dragons. I love dragons and I haven't seen them very often in YA. One other thing I loved was how strong Darci became over the course of the book. It started with her always needing someone to protect her but she was incredibly strong by the end. Overall I loved this. I've heard rumors about a sequel and I'm hoping there is one. I highly recommend this :). 4/5 Stars Jasmine :) Marissa's Review I really like fantasy but I don't read a lot of it. I also love books about quests. I love it when a group of characters who have almost nothing in common have to go on this adventure and it takes time and they change and by the time the quest is over they're almost different people. And I loved all the characters. The main character Darci is a normal human girl and she gets thrown into this new world and she handles is so well and I love how she became someone who can fight their own battles. I really liked Taslessian at first but he changes a lot during the book and by the end he's kind of distant. It was the opposite for me with Lief at first I really didn't like him but he was so sweet and he totally grew on me. Maledorian was so funny. He has been waiting his whole life for this quest but at the same time he didn't really know how to handle it at the beginning. Defyance was awesome she was this sort of mysterious warrior woman and I think her and Maledorian have a thing going on. But of course not everyone could live in the end but why did my favorite have to die :(. I really liked the writing but it was a little confusing at times and there was some typos. Overall I really enjoyed this book there was dragons and ships and magic and it was awesome. 4/5 stars. -Marissa
  • Tallen on Feb. 09, 2012

Beneath the moon and stars joint review Family was such a big part of this. I was shocked when the fire happened and suddenly Tallen had no one. I knew that the same guy was gonna come back for her because everyone kept thinking about it. John finds Tallen and then it was like she had someone other then her adorable dog Wanderer . It was kinda like they both had no one and they were meant to find each other. I kept waiting for Tallen to give up on her revenge and get started with the quest Tassleian left for her. That never happened. Basically the whole book was about her getting revenge for her family. At first I thought that was kinda annoying but in the end it made perfect sense. That also leaves it open for a sequel which I would love. Tallen is so much different than Darci. I found it easier to connect with her. Just that made this hard to put down. Wanderer is the most adorable sidekick ever. I really liked John. His protectiveness over Tallen was cute. He was like a fatherly figure. Tallen was kinda a brat when she left him at the inn. Mouse was so adorable. Rhody seriously made this book for me. I kept waiting for a love interest. Tallen and Rhody were super cute even if it was only for a little while. I'm gonna miss these characters. Over all I really liked this. I wouldn't say it was better then Quest of the Demon. Their about equal. But this was easier to connect with :). 4/5 Stars -Jasmine :) The beginning of this book was so sad and I totally did not see it coming. Basically her whole family dies and all she has left is Wanderer one of the puppy's of her dog who died too. I don't think I could go through what Tallen does in this book and not completely fall apart and I really liked Tallen because of that she was super strong even though she was mourning she didn't get that get in the way of what she was trying to do. Which was get revenge on Slevin the guy whose fault it was that her whole family died. This book was way different than Quest of the Demon because even though there was was a quest she needed to do she put that aside and the main plot was her trying to get revenge there as so much more than that. I really loved all the characters. Like I said Tallen is super strong and determined almost to determined. John was really supportive up until the end and I really liked him. Wanderer was probably my favorite even though he's a dog if I had a side-kick I would want it to be him :) Mouse was adorable he would be a good side-kick too and no he's not really a mouse. Rhody was awesome him and Tallen were super cute and I hope they can work it all out in the end. Slevin was absolutely horrible I hated him and he deserved everything that happened to him. Overall I liked this book as much as Quest of the Demon and I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book. 4/5 stars. -Marissa
