Bethany van Sterling
I write literary fantasy, paranormal, and historical fiction. I'm also a language teacher and dancer/performing artist.
I've been greatly inspired by writers such as Milan Kundera, Mary Shelley, Oscar Wilde, Voltaire, Herman Hesse, as well as mythology, fairy tales, and folklore. But most of all, the sensuous arts of conversation, music, film, the performing arts, and, well, life in general. ;)

First Steps : Madrid Writers' Club Anthology
by David Nevin, Smartynats, Anthony O. Goriaïnoff, Alex Owen-Hill, David N Kelly, Bethany van Sterling, Arabdha Sudhir, & Lance Tooks
Each of the ten stories are written to depict a main character travelling, either in flight or on a journey of self-discovery. This collection takes the reader from Cuba to the Arctic to fantastical worlds, where animals talk and seals reveal their true nature. Airports and airplanes share pages with rowing boats, subways and horse-drawn carriages.
A Man of the Wolves
by Bethany van Sterling
Madrid, Spain. Above the ornate Toledo Bridge, down-to-earth Sara meets the striking Cibrán, a handsome Galician with fierce eyes and rumored by neighbors to be a celebrity of sorts. As Sara unravels his bizarre past, Cibrán can’t help but consider that this “lady in brown” could be the one. After so long, he is ready to not walk the path of life alone—a path longer than any mortal could imagine.
