How do you approach cover design?
I rate myself as usually being pretty poor when it comes to conceiving cover designs -- mostly I've run into this with my music albums (I'm also a pro-musician). While I may have an idea or two, I mostly tend to leave it up to my graphic artist -- I leave it up to the pros! At least for my recipe books I want them to have action -- most recipe books just display food or show the cook holding food -- *snore* -- your food should be exciting and alive as much as we are. Rolling up your sleeves and getting into the kitchen is the same.
What do you read for pleasure?
I read a LOT of different things. Various genres of sci-fi, history, mystery, horror -- things that make me think. I really don't go out for filler -- the same with the movies I watch.
