What's the story behind your latest book?
Hollywood Blue is a personal story of my obsessive quest for stardom, the demons that drove me to seek fame - whatever the cost - and the characters I encountered along the way. It probably isn't for everyone; it's hard-hitting and graphic - I haven't pulled any punches. But it's my story, and it's one that I felt should be told - and I hope it will help other young girls who find themselves in similar circumstances to avoid the pitfalls of the fame game. Names have been changed throughout to protect the innocent and the guilty alike!
What is your writing process?
I'm pretty disciplined; I usually set my alarm for around four in the morning, guzzle some coffee and have a quick breakfast before taking a shower (which usually goes some way to waking me!), and holing myself up in my study. I used to be a night creature but I quickly discovered that trying to write in the lonely small hours held far too many bad associations for me - and if you read Hollywood Blue you'll learn the reasons why! I'm far more productive in the mornings, and I'm thriving on a more structured routine.
