Bestselling author, Brandt Legg is a former child prodigy who turned an interest in stamp collecting into a multi-million dollar empire. At eight, Legg's father died suddenly, plunging his family into poverty. Two years later, while suffering from crippling migraines, he started in business. National media dubbed him the "Teen Tycoon," but by the time he reached his twenties, the high-flying Legg became ensnarled in the financial whirlwind of the junk bond eighties, lost his entire fortune... and ended up serving time in federal prison for financial improprieties. Legg emerged, chastened and wiser, one year later and began anew in retail and real estate. From there his life adventures have led him through magazine publishing, a newspaper column, photography, FM radio, CD production and concert promotion.

Smashwords book reviews by Brandt Legg

Intense and thought provoking.
This futuristic Christian book gives a harsh look at the possible near future of a world where national sovereignty has given way to the New World Order and UN enforced dictates. Sevenfold by Ilyan Lavanway is an intense and short story, heavily religious, well written and deeply thought provoking. I could imagine the author developing this into a powerful novel. 5-stars.
- The Rekindled Affair

I was excited to see another release by Peter John. I thoroughly enjoyed his book the Dead Medium and have even given it as a gift. The Rekindled Affair by Peter John is just as enjoyable. This author has a way with characters, you can tell he knows how to sum up a person and spot their quirks, regrets, longings, etc. He has a knack for giving readers an easy sense of how his characters became who they are (the good and the bad) – like real people. This short story is full of life and a nice taste of the author’s style. Well worth the time! 5-stars.

This is a very enjoyable and inspiring collection. I have read Peter: A Darkened Fairytale and also highly recommend it. Along with this and the other related books by the same author. 5-stars.
- Apart from Love
on April 27, 2015
I didn't need to read the author's bio to know she was a poet. The writing is lyrical, eloquent and yes, poetic. And, I could have guessed Poznansky is also an artist, as each scene is painted with lovely sentences and paragraphs that seem to be created out of a vision delivered by a muse. Apart From Love, by Uvi Poznansky is an emotional story told with care. It deals with love and secrets (and all that they entail) and finally, a quest for understanding. We hear this story from Ben, "Here is my latest revelation: I have been in hiding for so long that at this point, by some strange twist, my mind starts rebelling against me. I know it, because - in spite of my efforts to disguise myself, to alter my looks and behavior - I find myself wishing to be found out." And from Anita, "I open the bedroom window, and feel warm spring air coming in, blowing gently into my face, which feels like a promise." But I might have enjoyed the cleverly named Mr. Bliss the most. Apart From Love is a beautiful thing to read. Highly recommended.
