  • The Complete Armor of God on March 17, 2013

This book was graciously given to me for free in exchange for my review of it. This little book expounds on what the armor of God is and how it applies to a believer's life. If you have merely heard the verses in Ephesians that describes the armor I would recommend this book since it explains the parts of the armor that are described in the Old Testament. I wish this book was longer because it is easy to read, beautifully written and makes you want to dig deeper on this topic.
  • Prayer Walking for Spiritual Breakthrough on April 10, 2013

This book was given free in exchange for my honest review of it. I had heard of this topic previously through my husband's aunt, but I had never read a lot on the topic of prayer walking. This book was in depth in discussing the different types of prayer walks and different ways of doing a prayer walk. If this is something you are interested in reading up on I would recommend this book. It is written in a conversational style of writing which engages you from the first page. There is only one section of the book I was honestly uncomfortable with which is the section on prayer walking via going through a maze or labyrinth. To me, personally, this felt a bit new age, but I haven't researched deeper on this type of payer walk, so it may be truly beneficial. Research and time will tell. Don't let this section detour you from reading this book if you feel lead to read it.

Thanks to Pastor McVey I got to read his western novel free of charge in exchange for my honest review. This is my first western. I am not a fan of this genre, but Pastor McVey's story was a sweet first western to read. Nathaniel Ryder the Third's adventure to NM territory to become a circuit rider is filled with adventure, romance, faith, action, challenges and struggles. The west comes alive in this novel. Pastor McVey keeps true to the era of the novel in the setting, the language and of course the classic western shoot outs. If you like westerns I recommend this sweet story. It was a great first western for me to get to read. I will have to find the rest of the series to find out what happens to Nathan.
