She loves to write about strong male characters and quirky females. Her novels are fun, feisty and suitable for over eighteens only.
Ruby lives in England and is currently writing full time.
When did you first start writing?
A long, long time ago! I wrote a dozen or more novels during my twenties and thirties (all unfinished), but I finally began to take my writing a little more seriously in 2013 when I read a bio on Jay Crownover. She began writing Rule after a particularly difficult year and this inspired me to get cracking on a novel. I was working full-time and I'd cram in writing sessions in the evening and weekends.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I guess it was reading that bio on Jay Crownover. Not only did it trigger my need to become a writer, it also opened my eyes to the world of self-publishing. Along the way I also got hooked on indie author, Kristen Ashley. I started lapping up online articles, YouTube videos and anything I could find on how to become an indie author. Also, I'm lucky enough to have a friend who's self-published and she was a big inspiration.
