Now that the pleasantries are out of the way, there’s a story I need to let out of its cage. It's about the end of our world...
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Improving life. Mine, my kid's, yours. It's the way I think we should all try to be. Not expecting perfection, but always giving relentless effort, no matter how futile it may feel. Never. Ever. Quit.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I have a head for developing ideas. Sometimes business, occasionally personal, I like to build. I currently have 5 big projects that are ongoing, and roughly a dozen smaller ones. I build websites, run 3 blogs, make premade covers, freelance on writing sites, and a few others. It's what I've been doing since my first book was published and it seems to work for me. Looking in, an observer might ask why I don't just concentrate on writing the new books and forget the rest now that I'm making a living. My answer is that some days, the mental door into the stories is extremely hard to find. On the other days, it's impossible. I have to keep busy or that alone could drive me crazy.
Safe Haven is ten days from Pitcairn island. The trip has been long and filled with hardships that cost the lives of many. Dramas have exploded and been settled. Peace has been made between the normals and the magic users, for now. Adrian and Kendle were left behind. All Safe Haven has to do is ride the waves around the tip of South America and it’s smooth sailing from there.
Their last adventure convinced Alexa that staying ahead of the hunters isn’t going to work. She’s tired of her men being hurt, of never having a minute’s peace, of being forced to skip Safe Haven sites and clues to avoid capture. She offered an open challenge, giving her exact location. No more running; she’s getting set to handle whoever has the courage to come collect the reward on her.
The light is fading. The descendants in camp have been weakened. Forbidden by the boss to use their power or draw energy, the hosts are becoming fragile and the camp around them is helpless to protect their gifted members. When Angela leaves camp on a run and doesn’t return, Safe Haven begins to tear itself apart and not even Marc can stop it.
We were supposed to have a home now, with walls and floors. The constant traveling, trying to outrun nature was going to be over. We were going to build a life that resembled what we had lost, full of peace and the pursuit of happiness. We’d earned it.
Then all of the dreams that had held us through the nightmares shattered against the stone.
Adrian will soon discover if the choices he’s made have cost him a son. Even Angela can’t be sure. Neither can the others like her. The powers of the descendants are growing, and so is Safe Haven's awareness of having magic in their midst. Angela is no longer the only seer in Adrian’s camp of survivors…if she ever was.
Three months after the nuclear war that turned America into an apocalyptic wasteland, Safe Haven has made it from California to South Dakota. Adrian now has six of the seven gifted people sent to ensure the survival of their country. However, not everyone can handle Adrian’s version of safety—including some of his closest people.
Life After War is a dark fantasy series that chronicles the survival of humanity when a global nuclear war splits the remaining populations and pits them against each other in an epic battle for control of everything. Book One brings the survivors together and starts a chain reaction that will either save the world or finish destroying it.
Safe Haven has been hit with awful blows since the war. They’ve been stalked, burnt, shaken, shot, and betrayed so much that it’s impossible to tell friends from enemies. Assassins and traitors have ruined the fragile peace and personal dramas have weakened the dream of rebuilding a society of love and light.
Angela has moved Safe Haven to the post-apocalyptic Mountains of Georgia to make their stand. She has put a plan in motion that will free them all or get them all killed. For her, everything since the apocalypse has come down to this moment. It’s what she’s been training for, what her men have tried to prepare her for, but only fate knows if it will be enough.
Safe Haven thinks they’ve endured the worst the apocalypse had to offer, but they’ve actually been lucky. That’s about to change and the descendants can’t stop it. Magic is powerless against radiation and other effects of a nuclear war. When Yellowstone blows, it forces a hard choice: Do we stand or do we run?
The Soldiers are coming for Adrian...and everyone else like him.
Safe Haven has grown too powerful to be ignored any longer. The surviving government wants all survivors secured for their own use or eliminated, and they couldn't have chosen a better time to reemerge from their dystopian holes.
Safe Haven has just finished the first leg of a journey that will take them ten thousand miles before it is completed. Not quite half way in their quest to save what’s left of their world, the survivors are now entering the most dangerous phase–leaving America. In just nine days, your favorite people will board that ship and sail off into the sunset… If they can get around one last se
It’s been a year since the nuclear world war brought down all societies and made survival the common goal of all people. Safe Haven Refugee Camp has been there for it all. People have come and gone, leaving an unforgettable mark on those around them. The dead are uncountable. The survivors are few. It was a hard, new world, where those left behind had to fight extinction.
