Curtis Allen Wiese, Jr. was born in Sandstone, Minnesota. Curtis grew up in Oregon, graduating from Philomath High School in 1965. Curtis attended Blue Mountain Community College and then Oregon State University after high school. He worked as a Saw Filer in Oregon and as a firearms instructor, a hunting guide and a Private Investigator in Alaska. Later, he ran a small newspaper in Idaho. He is currently retired in Naples, Idaho, where he enjoys trail rides with his horse, Danny.
