Born in San Antonio, Texas to attending college at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas where 36 years ago Cat found a place where she could have and keep a horse for $10.00 a month. She bought herself the first horse she could afford to finally enjoy her biggest desire. Since then she has been riding, training, trading, and learning any and everything she possibly could to be her best at assisting horses, owners, riders, and others to find, hone and polish their own unique ability, signature and style.
Her desire to learn and understand horses sent her searching to work with and in several different disciplines, with many various types of trainers and horses. She has coached many students from their beginning rides, to major wins, or simple, safe, trail rides. Always available to assist anyone who is interested in furthering their education and awareness with horses and life.
She lives with an open mind, a quick wit and a keen eye of observation to delve out and share the easiest, safest, most effective, and fun way to communicate with horses, owners, friends and acquaintances. Coaching others to experience and imagine the possibilities in every moment and the joys of seeing an animal and its owner working in partnership.
She is currently training and conditioning her horses for barrel and pole competitions, raising her youngest son, with Freckles the POA horse, their dogs and cats while coaching at home, on the road, by phone, and email while writing her next book of analogies and tips from learning experiences with the horses and people she continually interacts with.
