Smashwords Interview

Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
Hmmm, The first story I ever read. Well, to be honest I can't answer this question, I started reading so long ago that the first story escapes me. What I can do however, is tell you the first story I read and fell in love with. It wasn't a book, rather a short story that I read in school. It was called "Lamb to the Slaughter" by Roald Dhal. I thoroughly thought that, that short was an incredible story for all the elements it had to offer. It ignited a passion for murder mysteries that still burns on to this day.
How do you approach cover design?
I have been a creative person all of my life, both written and visual. When I am writing a book, I imagine what it will take to spark someones interest. Obviously, an appealing cover, paired with an enticing title should do the trick. I have been writing all of my life but have only recently decided that books are my career of choice. I have created two covers, one you can find on here and the second is my NaNoWriMo cover which I am exceptionally proud of.
