Check out my three ebooks: Mattie's Compass, a Young Adult Sci-Fi Fantasy and Adventure (recently adapted as a screenplay); Shortcomingz, an eclectic short story collection (misspelled on purpose...call it one of my shortcomings); and The Vampire Murders, a Thriller set in my hometown of New Orleans. (What better setting for a wicked little Goth Nouveau tale?)
My foray into the world of screenwriting also includes nine feature screenplays (two of them are adapted from my books and two are co-authored) as well as several short scripts. Several of my feature screenplays are listed on Inktip.com for entertainment professionals who are seeking award winning scripts.
A short script I co-authored, Kid Justice, (credited on IMDB), is a Western produced by Blind Mice Pictures as part of the 48 Hour Film Project, Nashville, 2009. It is on YouTube.
Currently, I'm polishing the screenplay adaptation of my YA novel, Mattie's Compass.
A teen and her dad crash their schooner on a bizarre, uncharted island while searching for her grandparents - who inexplicably disappeared - and land in a hostile world that tests their survival skills.
This is a collection of short stories covering a variety of topics and themes. Some of the stories are told in forthright fashion, others border on magical realism. A few offer a poetic peep into the past, several delve into science fiction and the rest, I hope, are a bit avant-garde.
In the middle of New Orleans during the height of Mardi Gras people are turning up dead, their blood removed, two holes in the neck. The vampires are back! Well, one, and she's not your average bloodsucker.
