Selena Haskins is a native Washingtonian, who lives outside of DC with family. Besides writing, she's a huge NBA basketball fan. She also enjoys music, reading, movies, and drawing. "A River Moves Forward," is Selena's first published book. It's a story that evokes every human emotion as it addresses family dynamics, love and relationships, and issues of poverty and race. Selena creates a mix of uncertainty and infuses events that come together like a well-pieced puzzle. Throughout the book are messages of hope, love, and forgiveness. She is currently working on the sequel tentatively titled, "Riding the Waves."
