'Carrie the Limping Lion' is based loosely on my childhood experiences with Rheumatoid Arthritis. My hope is that by reading the poem, 'normal' children will understand chronic pain and hidden illnesses a little better, which would allow the kids dealing with these issues to be more easily accepted and befriended by their peers. Chronic pain can be a very lonely thing to go through, and I'd like to make a small difference, if I can, by educating people about the condition.

I have a concept for a children's story cookbook that I've already written a lot of content for... I just need to figure out the ending and put together the recipes. I started working on it quite a long time ago, and Francois (my fiancé and illustrator) has already drawn up a few of the characters.
