Carolyn Lis

Biography

Carolyn grew up in Seattle long before the city gained fame as the birthplace of either Microsoft or Starbucks. She wanted to be a spy, lawyer, or journalist (in that order). Instead, she opted for adventure in the Navy. After 20 years, and tours in fabulous cities like London and Washington D.C., she discovered adventure in her own backyard.

She and her family live in North Texas. She writes children’s books, travel articles, and the occasional activist fiction. She is on Twitter as @Carolyn_Lis. You can find her on her website at www.NorthTexasRamblings.com.

Almost your typical cat, Jerry spends his time fishing in the neighbor’s goldfish pond and meditating in the classic cat nap pose. Jerry likes the quiet life.
