Clarice Troy

Clarice loves reading and writing all kinds of stories, but she especially enjoys children's books. She has a degree in English Lit. from UCLA, and plans to publish books for readers of all ages.

11 year old Sophie has been been writing since the ripe young age of 6 years old. About writing with her daughter, Sophie, Clarice says, "It's a dream come true to work with her. She has the most delightful personality, and her stories are so imaginative and entertaining. Ever since she was 6 years old, she's been leaving these little composition books filled with her stories in different places throughout the house. I have enjoyed going back over her older work, and seeing how her writing has developed. Kids need to know that they can be everyday heroes. They have the power to improve their own lives, as well as the lives of those around them. Sophie makes people happy, including me."

Very creatively written. Like the other reader here, I could not believe this was free. I'd read more from this talented writer.
  • Forgotten Father on Oct. 03, 2011

A sexy love story. Sometimes the author repeats things too much with the character's interior dialogue, but this story was good enough to pay for. I couldn't believe it was free!
  • Lover, Husband, Father, Monster - Book 1, Her Story on Oct. 06, 2011

Loved this book. It was hard to put down. Ms. Johnstone is a talented writer who draws you in with her descriptive, riveting writing. Could not believe this cost so litte: FREE! I am going to purchase Book 2, written by the author's husband, Mr. Johnstone. More please, Mrs. Johnstone!!!

What a delightful story. This author drew me in. I wanted the tale of Bus and Eric to last forever, and I would pay for this and future work from this magnificently creative, talented writer. I love the settings, (from Norway to New York to Wyoming to California, etc.), and the historical time period. I will look for more from this amazing writer.
  • Best of Blog in France on Dec. 08, 2011

I love reading about the experience of other people in far away countries. This family is tough as nails and brilliant. The ups and downs of their lives in France kept me clicking the next page button on my ereader. Bravo!
  • Murder for Breakfast on July 30, 2012

I enjoyed this story. The writer has a way of making you feel you are a guest at the inn. I could smell the fresh coffee brewing and taste the homemade buns that the main characters served up to their guests each day. I also felt the tension, fear, and suspense of trying to figure out whodunnit. I have read and enjoyed Cold Coffee, another ebook by this author. I'm a huge fan now!
  • James & Ellen: Together at Last on Aug. 01, 2012

Started off so vanilla, but then turned into a neopolitan sundae with all the cream and nuts! Pun intended.
  • Degrees of Intimacy on Aug. 01, 2012

Brilliant writing in a story so engrossing I wanted more. I enjoyed feeling like I was there in all those different exotic countries and settings. The characters are each unique, well developed, and interesting. The relationships and the sex scenes were very satisfying. I would pay for a novella like this, but it was free. I will look for more from this excellent writer.
