Start to finish...I could not put this book down! Talk about a walk down memory lane, I felt like I was right there in the midst of it all. David is an incredible writer and I would love to see this made into a Hallmark made for TV movie. Someone send a copy to Ron Howard...remember Mayberry? Anyway, I would give him 10 stars if i could! Read it and send it on to all your friends.

This took me back to my childhood. I can smell the watermelon and feel the sticky on my fingers. David teaches us valuable and important lessons through his stories! A great read.
