Charles Kernow was born on the Cornish coast and grew up there when Methodism was still a vibrant force. He subsequently converted to Catholicism, trained for the priesthood at a Jesuit College but entered the Benedictine order. He later left the Roman Catholic Church and studied linguistics at a post-graduate level. He has a deep love of Wagner’s mature operas. Charles Kernow has lived in Spain since 1987.
Accompany Edward Clarington on a seemingly innocuous task to help an old friend in Spain sort out his papers, and enter into a journey of twists and turns, labyrinths, hidden places and wartime secrets.
