A Week After Forever
on March 21, 2016
The author is an online friend of mine, so I am giving a honest review to help her. She had said she wrote this when she was just 11 years old, which I find very impressive. Her age doesn't really show in her writing, but of course, that is only my opinion. This story is written in a incredibly smart and creative way; I really do like the way she told the story. However, the first half of the book was a bit slow, and I feel myself getting detached from the story at times. The fact that I feel like I didn't know the female character at all, didn't really help matters either. As a result, I was kind of unsympathetic to her problems. While the ending was shocking, and a little unexpected; I didn't feel very emotional when the ending came because the main character spwas like a stranger to me. All in all, the writing is clever and sneaky at times, but maybe more character and event descriptions would make it better.
I can't wait to read more from this author!
