Eliza Haywood (c. 1693 –1756) was an English writer, actress and publisher.
Fantomina; or Love in a Maze is a story by Eliza Haywood published in 1725. The protagonist, a young lady, disguises herself as four different women in her efforts to understand how a man may interact with women from different social classes. Her first incarnation is as a prostitute.
