My name is Christina Brenner and I reside in Rives Junction Michigan and I am a 23 year old Inspired Writer/Author of historical novels & Novelettes. I came from a low income family with two hard working parents who didn't make allot of money when I was growing up, but we were not dirt poor either. I always say if you have clothes on your back, a roof over your head and something to eat most of the time you are doing alright. Be grateful for what you do have and do not fret on what you do not have.

Growing up I was always surrounded by my family, friends and the animal's we would rescue. We had everything from, Cat's, Dog's, bunnies, fish's, horses, ferrets and so on and most of the time we lived out in the country where there was tons of tree's and wildlife and room to run around and let our imaginations run wild.

I always loved to listen to the old story's and real life events my family, because their life and what they did was so interesting and is apart of who I am today. If it was not for them then I would not be here. It was because of all of them that I got interested in researching our family history upon which I found many wonderful people who I am related to and who still inspire me until this day. Even if they did live in a different time period, country or state then I live in, their memory and legacy lives on through me.

My first book series This place of dreams called America is inspired by my many great grandfather Michael Bauer who him and his family became German Redemptioners in the 18th century. It was not until I researched more into it that I decided to sit down and write a book about German Redemptioners in the 18th century and my writing and ideas continued to flow down on paper easily. I will continue to base my books on them, my friends, family and people who inspire me. I hope they are all as proud of me as I am of all of them, Christina Brenner

Smashwords Interview

What helps you to get into the mood of writing?
I usually listen to music or watch a movie or talk to people who inspire me or do research on the book subject I am writing about or even just sit and think, there is no right or wrong way to get into the mood to write, it just happens naturally.
What do you read for pleasure?
I love any book's from paranormal one's to war related ones or romance, but as you would have guest historical books are my all time favorites. It's exciting to sit down at the end of the day and just relax and crack open a book and let your imagination run wild and really get into the characters and what happens to them.
