  • The Amicable Divorce on Feb. 25, 2016

***THIS BOOK WAS PROVIDED BY THE PUBLISHER/AUTHOR IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW** The Amicable Divorce by Marla Bradeen is chick lit at it's best. There is humor and angst, and a plot that kept me going in circles; that touch of mystery kept me glued to the e-reader! If I have any complaint, it's that the main character, Vanessa, is so passive. It's almost like the author wanted us to prefer her ex-husband-to-be Brian over her. But this didn't detract much from my enjoyment of the story, and really made me happy when Vanessa stood up for herself and what she wanted. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a light read, full of humor, a touch of mystery, and romance. **Review has been done in conjunction with Nerd Girl Official. • Lost on March 25, 2016

***THIS BOOK WAS PROVIDED BY THE PUBLISHER/AUTHOR IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW** Lost by Donnielle Tyner is the first in the Caelian Cycle Series. A meteor hit back during the first World War, sending some alien DNA into the air, turning some people into Caelians. These Caelians have Talents. Some are harmless, others not so much. And of course, the world has become very much an us vs. them situation. Sadie grew up in a Caelian orphanage, not knowing that her birth affects one of the biggest Families in the world. This book brought you in quickly, and kept you there right to the end. I felt immediately close to Sadie and her friends, and I cannot wait for the next book in the series. **Review has been done in conjunction with Nerd Girl Official.
  • Dreamthief on Sep. 30, 2016

Dreamthief by Tamara Grantham is a wonderful story of Olive Kennedy, a half Earth-human, half Faythander Elf. Olive is a Psychiatrist on Earth, and her specialty is helping those from Earth who have inadvertently visited Faythander, and the memories are adversely affecting their lives. Then Olive's Godson is stricken by an unknown malady, and Olive visits her father's world, and discovers a great deal about herself she previously didn't know. People are calling her the Dreamthief, and others the Deathbringer. Olive must work to discover the truth, and save not just her Gordon, but other children as well. Dreamthief, an Olive Kennedy, MD, Fairy World book, is a wonderful read. Definite 5-star.
  • Dating an Alien Pop Star on Nov. 20, 2016

***THIS BOOK WAS PROVIDED TO NERD GIRL IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW*** Dating an Alien Pop Star by Kendra L Saunders is a fun rollicking good time. Daisy, aka Wanda runs-literally-into some aliens, and is promptly kidnapped to provide style advice to Griffin, an Alien Pop Star!!! This book is all about Daisy, who Griffin insists on calling Wanda, and her adventures with aliens. I loved that Daisy immediately recognized that if she left her aliens, they could run into someone less than honorable and get into more trouble. Dating an Alien Pop Star is a wonderful can't miss ride, and I cannot wait for more!!! ***Review has been done in conjunction with Nerd Girl Official.
