Biography

Christos Christidis is a Greek Classicist (first degree: University of Athens; PhD University of Reading, England).

Career in the Greek Education System: Teacher, Principal, School Advisor, Head of Greek Studies (Saheti School, Johannesburg), Consul for Greek Education (Sydney, Australia). Also, Director of the NGO GAIA (Thessaloniki) and representative of Greece in the ‘Global Education Network’ of the North-South Center – Council of Europe. In this capacity, he was one of the six co-writers of the ‘Global Education Guidelines’ of this Center.

Publications: Many works, mainly in Greek, on Education and Classics as well as prose and poetry.
