Smashwords Interview

Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
I cannot remember the first story I ever read as I have been a voracious reader from my very young days. Nevertheless, when I was about eleven years I came across a "William" book by Richmal Compton. This book narrated the hilarious adventures of a boy of about my age. She became my favorite author and I collected about twenty five of these books which I have read and reread, even when grownup.

How I came across my first "William" book is narrated in my book, "Sri Lankan and Zimbabwean Memories".
What are your five favorite books, and why?
I would say my five favorite books are:

Pride and Prejudice & Emma by Jane Austen, Pickwick Papers & David Copperfield by Charles Dickens and Framley Parsonage by Anthony Trollope.

I enjoy reading them. I have these books, as well as a few others, in audio format and I listen and re-listen to them whenever I wish to do so.
