Dee Thompson is a writer and editor who has been a word lover since age 5 when she started writing poetry. She holds a BA in Drama and an MA in Creative Writing. Since 2005, she has blogged over at The Crab Chronicles. She is the author of two books, Jack's New Family -- a children's book, and Adopting Alesia: My Crusade for My Russian Daughter -- a memoir about her daughter's adoption. She has also contributed essays to many anthologies including the award-winning Call Me Okaasan: Adventures in Multicultural Mothering, and the bestseller The Divinity of Dogs: True Stories of Miracles Inspired by Man's Best Friend. She lives in Atlanta with her son.
