As I read "An Alef-Bet Kabalah", I felt like my soul was flourishing. This work sharpened my compassion and deepened my respect for Dr. Brook and reminded me that we are our own tragedy and our own heroes. This piece forced me to take my emotional pulse. I am priviledged to have discovered the works of Dr. Brook and look forward to discovering and examining more in the future. Thank you, Dr. Brook, for sharing your creativity with the world.
"Social Truths" reminded me that our moral gut-checks are necessary hesitations that can lead to a correct view. What is morally acceptable in our culture is dynamic. We continuously make moral decisions within our lives--our actions ARE our morals. I look forward to reading more of his work.
Reading "Daydreaming in Kyoto" made me feel as if I were wrapped in a soft silk blanket exploring the history and beauty of Kyoto. As I read this piece, I felt calm and as if I were floating invisibly through the city. It helped me to understand the culture and filled me with emotional resonance. Excellent work. Thank you for sharing.
