Cristina L. White

Biography

Cristina L. White is a life-long writer, reader, and artist. Her stories, essays, and poetry have appeared in several publications, including Orion Magazine, VoiceCatcher, and Gay Flash Fiction. Her first book, The Healing Environment (authored as Cristina Ismael), was a pioneering work in the field of healing design.

Cristina is a playwright and a director, a free lance illustrator, and spent many years teaching Tai Chi in the San Francisco Bay Area and in Los Angeles. When she's not writing, she reads, walks, and tends a small garden. Her most recent work, Sex and Soul, A Memoir of Salvation, is a frank and often funny account of her transition from good Catholic girl to an out and open gay woman of color.
