Andrew Playford is the founder of Crowd Builder, a launch marketing platform that helps teams build their community ahead of their ICO campaigns. Andrew was previously head of marketing at Sonic Foundry, an enterprise video platform and has several startups under the belt. He started his career at PWC in London and holds a B. Bus Science from the University of Cape Town.
Crowd Builder is an application for teams to build their community ecosystem ahead of a big event like an ICO, crowdfunding campaign, product launch and so on. We believe that millions of crowdfunding dollars are being left on the table because founding teams do not have the tools and workflows to better leveraging their own personal networks to maximum effect. Instead, marketers are asking founders to spend big ad dollars to drive traffic to their campaigns on opening day and PR firms are charging to place articles in a small universe of blogs along with all the competition. We are inventing a new category called Crowd Marketing to solve this problem. We are building an application for teams to leverage their own networks to maximize the impact of their marketing, media and paid advertising over the months preceding the opening of their crowdfunding campaigns.
