Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Born in India, my earliest recollections are of verdant green, monsoons, army ants and books. Just before my Kindergarten year, my family returned to Canada, settling in the Ottawa Valley, but the impact of those early years would last a lifetime. From India, came an understanding of poverty, injustice, compassion, and the need to read between the lines of culture to see the truth. So I write adventures that give readers a glimpse beyond the strictures of military juntas, a view within Autism, a peek through the blinds of conspiracy. I write about hope, passion, commitment and a love that lasts forever.
When did you first start writing?
I came to writing later in life, once I began to have the rarest of commodities a parent can own...spare time. After twenty years as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, I was serendipitously surprised by inspiration. I've been writing ever since.
