Dale Thele

Born in 1956 and raised in north-central Oklahoma, Dale Thele grew up in the small oil company town of Ponca City. After graduating high school, Dale attended Oklahoma City University. He then traveled west until his southern roots beckoned him back to Dixie. He settled in Austin, Texas in 1984 and it's been his residence ever since.

Smashwords Interview

What are you working on next?
Currently, I'm working on a full-length novel: CLIPPED WINGS. A story of a zealous high school principal who exploits his position to break Shane Davison's teen spirit. Unrestrained actions result in unforeseen events in this 1970s narrative. Told entirely from Shane's teenage perspective. Inspired by actual events.
Who are your favorite authors?
Difficult question, there are so many authors I like. If I'd have to select just a few, I'd have to go with Timothy James Beck, Mark Kendrick, Michael Thomas Ford, and Bryan Healey. The works of those four authors inspired me to write.
