Hello folks! I Daniel C. De Guzman from the Philippines. I am an aspiring writer who loves speculative fiction and dark poetry. Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?

I grew up in the Philippines specifically in Tarlac province. I always try to incorporate in my writing the various folklore and myth from my home country as a way to honor the beautiful origins of my roots. I am inspired mostly from the creatures from my country's myths like Aswang and Tikbalang.

When did you first start writing?

During my college years. I end up joining our campus's student publication. This is where I am motivated to write anything under the sun. This is also my gateway to literature works since my co-writers are so good at writing fiction and poems.
