Deanne Eddy

Biography

I was fortunate enough to grow up in South Africa, where my Dad was stationed to train troops in the maintenance of Spitfire aircraft for North Africa in World War 2. The freedom of the country suited my always adventurous nature, and I loved the plethora of wild animals I counted as my "Friends"
From a very early age I always had a handful of my unusual animal patients, rescued by me, following me around during my rambles in the wild Bush veld - I quickly learned to watch and understand the rich "body language" of animals and had a remarkable rapport with all sorts of creatures - none more erudite than my beloved Samantha!
Samantha "Spoke" with her whole body and I have tried to capture the impressions and memories of our fascinating adventures as seen through the eyes and mind of that loving and communicative little Yorkshire Terrier
