Dargo James
Biography
Born in the Dargo High Plains area of Victoria, Dargo James left home to start work in a timber cutting camp at age 16. He has since worked as a shearer throughout Victoria and New South Wales, a stockman on a cattle station in the Northern Territory and now lives and works his own small opal mine in Western Australia at age 58.
He has never had a cooking lesson in his entire life, but is pretty well thought of for his good quality tucker among his mates and family.
All the recipes contained in this book are ones he has gathered from various sources and tried and tested out himself many times over with great success, and believes that if someone like him who is culinary challenged can make them all, anyone can.
