Fractured Melody

An interesting read. Drawing from high fantasy language for a frame, yet still capable of bringing the reader into close, intimate contact with its characters. 'Fractured Melody' is a beautifully successful portrait of a poignant, life and age changing event. I enjoyed this story immensely. As noted in the extended description, it does feel a bit like a prologue. However, this should not be taken as discouragement! I'll wait for however long the series this heralds takes to appear. After reading this, I believe it'll be worth it.
