James Brown

Biography

I write dark fiction tales which lie within the suspense and thriller realm of literature. My stories deal with how past experiences and internal conflicts haunt our lives and infllunce our daily interactions.
My time is balanced between my family, work and seeking publication. I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, College of Fine Arts.
If something is creepy, chances are I dig it.

I enjoyed the story and could really see it as a Twilight Zone episode. The urgent narrative voice reminded me a bit of Poe in the Tell-Tale Heart. Very short, almost too short, but packed with excitement for such a short story.

From the description, it seemed like a simple, suspenseful ghost story. Reading, it was that to a T; however, luckily, there were some twists and elements to the story that kept it fresh. I really liked the last half of the story, it picked up a lot and the ending was a thriller!
