I have a Ph. D. in psychology (Personality and Psychopathology) from UCSB (U. California Santa Barbara) and have taught psychology at college and university level. My academic training included a solid foundation in research design, methodology and analysis, as well as adventures into the mysteries of consciousness, cognition and hypnosis as a research tool for exploring the mind. I have also taught English at college and university in Vietnam and for 9 1/2 years in Taiwan. The joy of travel (including about 7 trips to Jamaica) has widened my horizons for sure. I love reggae music and am interested in the struggles of the Third World, or as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and other reggae artists have sung, for "equal rights and justice." Note that Stir It Up has been highly praised by Roger Steffens, founding chair of Reggae Grammy Committee, and other top reggae authorities.
Smashwords Interview
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
So far I have not latched upon an effective marketing method.
Describe your desk
Could be anywhere I can plug in. On my lap at home, at the library. Haven't had a permanent desk since my days in Taiwan teaching English - doing the "struggling writer" thing just now.
A violent outburst brings Scott to a psychologist. What happened in Jamaica four years earlier? Had Bob Marley and the Manley government been under attack by the CIA? Was his father CIA? Had he come at him with a machete? Doc M pushes Scott to relive the fateful year 1976 leading to the historic Smile Jamaica concert and uncover the truth that will either set them both free or be their undoing.
