Dawn Palacios, RDN
Dawn graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a bachelor’s of science degree in nutrition and a master of science in human nutrition. She completed her thesis and continues research in the field of school and community gardens and volunteers with Global Volunteers in Anse La Raye, St. Lucia, where she assists with a United Nations project teaching nutrition through community & school gardens.
After completing her dietetic internship, she specialized in the field of oncology at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Philadelphia. With a desire to focus on chronic disease prevention and ending obesity, Dawn transitioned to private practice. Through her practice, Dawn provides functional nutrition consultations, which include food allergy & food sensitivity testing, weight loss programs, & meal planning.
Dawn's partner in business & life, Paul Holubets, is a nationally certified personal trainer (CPT) with the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). His certifications and specialized courses concentrate in Sports Medicine, Advanced Program Design, Functional Integrated Training, Human Biomechanics and Senior & Youth Exercise Training.
As a trainer, Paul wears many hats; working with the young and the young-at-heart. His clients range in age from 7 to 90, and include athletes, corporate executives, families, retirees, individuals recovering from strokes, and people living with MS, Parkinson’s and Cerebral Palsy. He trains clients throughout the Austin area.
