La Shonda Thornton is the President/CEO of
DeLayne Publishers. She is an Entrepreneur, Author, Consultant and Mentor. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Management with a Concentration in Leadership from Nova Southeastern University and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology.

As a young child La Shonda has always been a self-
motivated individual who loves to write stories and poems. She never thought of pursuing writing until her Grandmother asked her to prepare a speech for their 70th wedding Anniversary.

In working on this speech and her grandmothers aid and encouragement helped La Shonda create her
first book Barbara Jean Westbrook: Life That Only a Virtuous Woman Could Endure.
