Brindle's Odyssey

Before starting Brindle's Oddysey, I was told it had a 'killer romance' as one of the main themes and I agree. However, that's not what I was left with. There is humor, adventure, romance (an epic romance), and fun but overall, the story is dark. The trials and tribulations of the main character are just as epic as the romance. It centers on the question of whether our lives are simply to be endured while we wait for the promised after-life or to be lived to the fullest? To be a good person, does one have to sacrifice? Very thought provoking and entertaining.
