She was born Debby Mitchell, tomboy extraordinaire with a sweeping desire to both read an infinite amount of books and cater to an insurmountable horse obsession. Her passion for stories directed her to late night closet reading successfully avoiding to detection by her parents. Her love of horses led her into being dumped and dragged throughout various landscapes and points of her life. Although writing tickled Debby's imaginative soul, the horses won out, and she completed degree in Equine Management. She flitted from job to job until she was captured and married.
She currently resides in Northern Alberta with her husband Rick, and in close proximity to her two grown children whom she successfully raised from embryos— with much more difficulty than potatoes. Debby has recently been blessed with two granddaughters encouraging her to obtain her masters in splendiferous Grandmotherhood. Having moved seven times in the last twelve years and working many humdrum jobs, Debby has now chosen the writing path— feet firmly planted in the muck, she is inch worming her way into printed word. Debby is currently working on a novel and a multitude of short stories. Sometimes writing is like an itch she can't quite scratch, but don't worry, it's not contagious.
