Smashwords Interview

When did you first start writing?
I started writing in 2003 and it took about a year to get the copyright permission for some chapters before I could send my first book to a publisher. It was an experience in learning the process of publishing in addition to understanding each elements of the process. I started writing after retiring from my job of 35 years and I have been writing ever since. I started out slow but have increased my activity over the last two years even though I am working full time in another job.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I wanted to make a difference and the theme of my website is Quality Writing and Services to Make a Difference. I have always wanted to write but never really had the chance or motivation to do so. I have seen much through personal and work experiences and the subject of integrity is my primary focus in addition to other topics which I feel needed to be expressed in a way not previously approached.
