Canadian born and bred, and a lifelong dreamer, I began writing at an early age and can’t recall a time when I wasn’t creating in some artistic form. My life has had several on-going love affairs that shape much of what I write, the American West, Victorian England, cowboys, a passion for pirates, Greek Gods, and Ancient Egypt. The other endless love affair in my life is Italia and all its magic, beauty, and dazzling culture. That passion spills into all aspects of my life.

What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
In recent years, I've discovered that the combination of blog and Twitter, linked to various social network sites has produced the best presence I could have. My website is a showcase, but to get people interested in the books, blogging seems to have been most effective. Interacting via social tools is essential because it allows readers to know you, and when they become your friends, they also become loyal readers.
Describe your desk
It's very compact, but usually a mess of pens, paper, notebooks, and of course my computer is front and center. I still prefer the desktop to a laptop, so I'm forced to keep the clutter to a limited space.
