Smashwords Interview

How do you approach cover design?
The cover design is a tricky aspect of a book. Some books are great only because of their cover image. Some other books lose fidelity and quality for the same reason. I believe that a cover image would be an image that creates a similar atmosphere as the content of the book. It is very harsh for the readers to be misguided and not find the story that they seek.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
My first book was from Jules Verne, "Around the world in 80 days". Although I was a child then, I found it very childish and left it on the shelf. When I was a student in Athens, I read "Drifting cities" by Stratis Tsirkas. This trilogy left its mark in my soul. It was not only the meanings and the plot of the story but also the narrative technics which Tsirkas used. Lately, I read a masterpiece novel by Dimitris Apergis named "Jazz Room". This is a quick action story which has unpredictable development and creates a mysterious atmosphere but also charming because of its descriptions. I am bored easily and because of that, I read books that follow a quick pace.
