Doc Mel :-)
Things have really changed in this day and age! Born in the sixties and raised by two loving parents that were strict but encouraging, and that didn't believe in false praise or false recognition; fostered me to become the woman that I am today. Now as a college professor, I have keenly observed how some students enter the classroom without fundamental knowledge as it relates to self-respect, relationships and understanding the significance of having a moral compass. I feel compelled to teach with an emphasis on "daily living" and my approach is REAL, RAW and UNCUT! Having a Ph.D. in Social Work gives me the theoretical frame of reference needed to provide the advice and insight that I give. You may find my writings to be provocative, but hopefully informative as well. ~Doc Mel
