Dr. Cecilia B. Dennery

I grew up in the Caribbean, on the gorgeous island of St. Thomas (American Virgin Islands). Growing up in such a picturesque place was marvelous. The beauty of the island, the relaxing atmosphere allowed me the space and time to hone my writing and teaching skills. For me both teaching and writing are inextricably intertwined because my writing is geared toward teaching. It is important for me to communicate clearly and accurately because of the subject matter I write about - the Word of God!

That is a difficult question to answer. When I look back over my life I have always enjoyed writing although I did not refer to myself as a writer, and certainly did not think about writing books. However, it was a gorgeous, picture perfect day in St. Thomas in 1998 when I "heard" a voice tell me I am supposed to write. Now, it was NOT an audible voice, but it was absolutely clear and undeniable. In my heart of hearts I knew what I was destined to do. From that moment on, I knew I HAD to write, not one or two, but many books. At that time, however, I did not know WHAT topic(s) I would write on, but now it is crystal clear. My focus is biblical instruction, and there is no stopping me now!!!
