This is a mind/body health book. I wrote it to share my childhood. I discovered other avenues for happiness for both my mind and my body. These avenues, which were not outside of my own experiences, were way different from what I was taught. At six years of age I witnessed what the power of prayer can do to change a physical problem. At nine I realized my parents didn't know what the word love meant and found an avenue to travel for more information on that subject. At eleven I decided to become a Catholic priest; a nun told me she married Jesus to experience love. At thirteen, just two weeks before going into a seminary, I decided not to go. At fourteen just after receiving an "F" grade in religion class, where I thought I would learn about love. I realized, I wasn't going to learn about love from priests, brothers or nuns.
Remembering an old saying from St. Thomas Aquinas, learned as an alter boy, "Test everything, retain what is good." I decided to love himself and I started to ask this question. "If I love myself, would I have this thought." In my later teenage years I added, "If I love myself, would I breathe, drink or eat this stuff."
Drafted into the Army in 1969, I again witnessed how powerful prayer is and surrendered to it completely, "Thy will be done." While training to be a combat medic and later with laboratory duties, the Army inspired me to become a dentist. I did very well in my doctorate program and was asked to be a professor. I also started a private practice. Later I specialized but with all that training, it still boils down to this. To be healthy in this world, reduce the mental conflicts and physical frictions, which define the stresses in our life; at the same time add, being conscious of the basic evolutionary needs for fresh air, energy rich and nutrient dense foods and clean water. A balanced life is for all of Earth's creatures. To be healthy, experience Nature's ways. Many of us are lost, surviving civilized today.
It's been said, "Every living being longs to be happy." Without good health, is happiness possible? Discover in this book Nature's health program. It has an old planetary definition, 3.5 billion years old.
The Fertile Ground
by Dr. T. K. Stone
This book questions, what's the meaning of life? It questions, can we be certain of anything in a world of constant change? Have we been taught to love ourselves, one another and why are we so divided? The Fertile Ground give us "food" for thought and the reader is called upon to reexamine and contemplate their "inner" life and their relationship to our natural world, which is their "outer" life.
