  • A Good Night's Sleep on May 02, 2015

Although a very brief short story, "A Good Night's Sleep" is a thoroughly enjoyable story that is thoughtfully and honestly written. As a writer myself, I highly recommend this for its' understated, yet serious story-telling elements. I admire this story very much, and will download the rest of Mr. Mathews's work.
  • Stay Awake on May 02, 2015

A very mature and enjoyable horror short story. I very much enjoyed his writing and, based upon this, I'm going to download Mr. Michael's other two listings here. Thank you. --- Please keep writing!
  • The Big Gamble on May 05, 2015

I've now read three stories by this wonderful writer. This is someone who values the craft of story-telling. In a few strokes, he is able to create characters that are interesting and well-formed. I highly recommend this writer.
  • A Clean Getaway on May 05, 2015

I completely agree with the other reviewer: This incredible writer should try his hand at writing a novel. I would buy it - I'll pay money for it, that's how much I enjoy his work. This story, like the other two stories I've thus far read is wonderful at creating character, situation, and plot. Highly recommended.
  • Hidden House on May 06, 2015

This is a nice, creepy story. Matthews' ability to create atmosphere and character is wonderfully done. I admire this author's works very much.
  • His Lucky Day on May 06, 2015

I'm really in awe of Matthews' writing. I find his short stories to be powerfully interesting and entertaining. I'm his number one fan (but in a good, positive sense [ha-ha]. Take the time to read just one of his short stories, and I think you'll be convinced that is talent is real and unique. -- Still waiting for a novel.......(and more short stories, of course).
